
Pierre Jean Messier
President & CEO
Mr. Messier is the founder of Triosyn and the original inventor of the Company’s technology platform. He has worked as a researcher and product development specialist in the bio-medical, microbiology and hemo-dialysis field for the last 26 years with a focus on iodinated resin technology since 1989. Before founding the Company, Mr. Messier also worked for Bio-Microencapsulation Technology, Inc. (during which he supported the technology transfer to National Medical Care), where he developed and oversaw production of specialized hemo-perfusion filters and devices. Mr. Messier was a lecturer at McGill University in post-graduate biotechnology studies and is the holder of more than 120 patents (issued and pending). With a career focused on innovation in science, Mr. Messier has been a Principal Investigator for the Department of Defense of Canada and the U.S.A since 1994 and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
JF LaRue
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. LaRue oversees the Company’s financial operations, including planning and analysis, controllership, internal audit, tax and treasury. Prior to joining Triosyn Corp. in 1998, Mr. LaRue was a partner at Deloitte & Touche, in the Montreal office.
Benoit Sicotte
General Manager
Mr. Sicotte manages research and development as well as manufacturing at TrioMed’s facilities in Mirabel and Vermont. Prior to joining Safe Life in 2008, he spent 11 years with Biorthex, first as Vice-President of research and development and later as CEO. He also spent 13 years working for Smith & Nephew, where he occupied several managerial positions. Mr. Sicotte holds a BS in engineering from the University of Sherbrooke and an MBA from the University of Quebec in Montreal.
David Ohayon Ph.D.
Senior Director of Chemistry
Mr. Ohayon manages all research projects in the Chemistry and Innovation Departments. Mr. Ohayon has been with the Company since 2002, and prior to joining the company he worked as a College Professor (Dawson College, Montreal) and as a Research Chemist at Concordia University in Montreal. Mr. Ohayon holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Concordia University.
Joe Tanelli
Senior Director of Engineering
Mr. Tanelli manages the Company’s Engineering Department leading all efforts related to product design, prototyping and manufacturing of final finished devices. Prior to joining the Company in 1999, Mr. Tanelli was an Engineer at SR Telecom (Montreal).
Sarah Franzot Ph.D.
Director of Science and Project Management
Ms. Franzot leads all project management activities for research projects and is responsible for providing scientific expertise to support marketing and business development efforts and for interacting with third party institutions to perform safety and efficacy testing for regulatory submissions and product development. Ms. Franzot holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and has been with the Company since 2004.
Hubert Manseau

Mr. Manseau is the President and Founder of Multiple Capital Inc, company managing venture capital portfolios. Previously, Mr. Manseau was President and Chief Executive Officer of Innovatech in Montreal, a major Canadian high-tech government backed venture capital firm. He is also Governor and Former President of Reseau Capital, the Quebec Venture Capital Association. Mr. Manseau currently sits on the Board of Directors of private companies and Advisory Board of Venture Capital funds. He was chairman of two Boards of Directors and has been director of fifteen high tech firms. Mr. Manseau was a founding member of the first Internet Service Provider in Quebec (RISQ), and was also founder or co-founder of two software startups.

L.J. Evans Jr.

Mr. Evans is the Former Chairman of White House Cabinet Council on Technology Commercialization. He also served as Head of NASA Commercial Technology and is a former member of the National Research Council Applications Board. He has more than 25 years of technology related operating, management and investment experience, mostly in government related sectors. He sits on numerous technology company Boards.
Brian Bristol
Board Member
Mr. Bristol has been an investment banker to growth companies for over thirty years, with a primary focus on business development and client service. He has extensive experience in raising different types of growth capital, including equity and debt, as well as in advising on mergers & acquisitions transactions. Mr. Bristol established an investment banking business at SoundView Technology Group, which grew to more than $210 million in revenues and became the top, research-based, technology firm on the east coast. Most recently, he led the investment banking business of WR Hambrecht + Co, where he focused on the firm’s proprietary, Dutch Auction Products.
Ludovic André

Mr. André currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Venture Fund (VCIC) of the Business Bank "Crédit Mutuel" of France. He was previously an investment portfolio director in France within the technology venture capital division of "Crédit Mutuel" CIC Capital Finance. Mr. André cumulates 9 years of experience in the venture capital industry.Before joining thisindustry, Mr. André held several positions in R&D and engineering for the Air Liquide group in both France and the United States (Texas). Mr. André has a master's degree in engineering from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble as well as from the University of Texas at Austin. He also has an MBA from HEC Paris.
Stephan Morency

Stephan Morency has 15 years of experience as an executive and entrepreneur specializing in corporate finance and business performance enhancement strategies. He started as a Deloitte Corporate Finance analyst and was rapidly introduced to venture capital through Desjardins Venture Capital where he was managing the new media/ecommerce portfolio. He then founded Othentika, a sales and distribution channels performance enhancement solution provider primarily for pharmaceutical companies and acted as CEO until its divestiture in 2005. In 2006 he co-founded Amuse, an innovative marketing and business strategy agency (now part of the international agency, Lowe and Partners) as EVP strategy. He is currently an investor specializing in technology-based company MBO for Fondaction, a 1B$ Canadian labour fund. He is also a board member for Speedware Ltd, MEI Group Inc. and chairman of the not-for-profit Le Journal l’itinéraire.
